What Remade is

Remade is an accountability app for Christians. It lets you keep a record of your days, read scripture, block apps and websites, and invite a partner to keep you accountable.

Remade is not a medical or counselling service, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number. To find a free, confidential helpline in your country, visit findahelpline.com.

Who can use Remade

You must be 18 or over to create an account. By creating one, you confirm that you are.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away.

Sensitive information

To work, Remade keeps what you tell it about what you're using it to stop, the relapses you record and what you write about them, and your faith. The law treats this as sensitive information. By agreeing to these terms, you agree to us using it to run Remade for you, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Blocking

On iPhone, blocking uses Apple's Screen Time. On Android, app blocking uses Usage Access and permission to display over other apps, and covers a blocked app with Remade's own screen, and website blocking uses a filter that Android calls a VPN. They are designed to make it harder to reach the apps and websites you choose. They are not a guarantee: they can be switched off in your phone's settings, turning on another VPN switches off Remade's website filter, and they cannot block everything. On iPhone, website schedules only take effect when you open Remade.

Subscriptions

Scripture and a teaching series are free. Other features need a subscription.

If you subscribe, you pay through the App Store or Google Play, using the account you're signed in with. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If the price goes up, you'll be told before you pay the new price.

If your subscription starts with a free trial, you won't be charged as long as you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.

To cancel on iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before a renewal and you won't be charged for it. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds come from Apple or Google, not from us. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.

How you must use Remade

Your partner is a real person who has trusted you. You must not use Remade to send anything that is:

  • threatening, harassing, hateful or abusive
  • sexual or sexually explicit
  • intended to shame or manipulate the other person
  • someone else's private information without their permission
  • illegal, or that encourages illegal activity or self-harm

You must not pretend to be someone else, or try to get into anyone else's account.

Reporting and ending a partnership

You can report a message from your partner in the app, and end the partnership at any time. We do not tell your partner that you reported them.

We review every report. We can remove content, end partnerships and suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If you are worried about someone's safety, email support@withremade.com.

What you write

What you write in Remade belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you choose, only so we can run Remade.

Scripture and content

Remade, its design and its written content belong to us. Bible translations belong to their publishers and are used under their terms.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings › Delete account. You have seven days to change your mind, then your data is permanently deleted.

We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or if we need to protect another person.

Our responsibility to you

We cannot promise Remade will always be available or free of errors.

We are not responsible for loss that we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for anything your partner or anyone else does. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you use Remade as a consumer, you keep all your legal rights.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
